BIOGRAPHY

Brad McCombs has more than 25 years experience as an exhibiting artist in regional, national and global venues. Currently, as the Art & Design Program Head in the School of the Arts at Northern Kentucky University he leads a positive creative culture for faculty, staff and students.

His art practice centers on constructing dynamic environments and worlds that create powerful connections with an audience whether they are physical, virtual or somewhere in-between. As a conceptual and interdisciplinary artist, he constantly pushes the creative use of low and high tech elements in finding solutions to projects that provoke thought and engage the public.

McCombs role as an artist is comprehensive and embraces: activism, anthropology, ecology, sociology and technology. He uses a broad range of materials and works in many mediums, which enable his conceptually driven works to become fully realized. Using these interests he weaves cross-cultural and interdisciplinary elements into a cohesive web.
